An online discussion prompted me to write on religion. Since religion is the hot debate around the world today and like politics people seem to form opinions based on popular hype and discuss it with out researching themselves the root causes for it, with a open heart and mind.
I am a Muslim, a proud one. I am proud to be a Pakistani. Unfortunately in a global society any adherence to ones local culture and belief is considered a faux pas. I disagree strongly!!!
I think we as human beings are being forcefully made to be part of an evil system that we don’t recognize!! Why should we all wear the same global uniform when were made to be different? It’s against nature to be global! No two human beings are alike, hell, no two parts of your body are alike!!
I wonder where does globalization emphasizes the beauty of difference. Nature has so many shades; the whole universe is “not global” even though it runs on an entirely disciplined system, that doesn’t require our humanistic interference or feedback. Yet the system is harmonious and runs perfectly!!! The question arises who is the creator of all this and MORE IMPORTANTLY what was his intention after all this creation?
Why couldn’t we learn from it?
We follow those who in the name of technological advancement and control earth in the name of globalization have destroyed the earth halfway. Who have no clue how return to earths original glory, who KNOW they have messed up big time and are distracting the earth by inflicting war, food crises, and globalization.

We know that History was never devoid of guidance from God. Wherever there was man there was guidance. There were always massagers being sent to earth who extended Gods messages to its people. The messages were always of, unity, love, peace, and a strong belief in GOD.
Before Islam people only had a concept of a ’higher power’, and they sought after it in various forms and worshipping natural elements, suns, moons, stars, animals, water, fire, earth, air etc or man made demigods which they thought identified with a real god, these were all attempts to understand that higher power but no one found the real path.
Islam was the LAST of all the classical religions sent on earth. The big five. Christianity, Islam, Hinduism, Buddhism and Judaism. These were the major religions, and all other religions primarily were an offshoot of these.
Before Islam there were many prophets sent on earth in Muslim history the number is 124000 of them were sent as guidance on earth and 4 holy books are mentioned in Qur’an which testify as the guidance sent to the Allah’s people on earth.
These four messengers and their holy books as acknowledged by Quran. They are the Suhuf-i-Ibrahim (commonly the Scrolls of Abraham), the (Tawrat (Torah),the Zabur (commonly the Psalms), the Injil (commonly the Gospel), and the Qur’an.
Hence, it was the FINAL ENLIGHTMENT, the word of ONE GOD. The Quran.
Muslims believe and pray to one only God, who sent his message to the prophet and discarded all the beliefs by manifesting
In the name of God, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
Say: He is Allah, the One and Only!
Allah, the Eternal, Absolute;
He begetteth not nor is He begotten. (born out of, or with)
And there is none like unto Him.
Which clarified his intentions of putting an end to all the other practices prevailing in ancient history, that is why we believe that Islam is the “enlightenment period” in Arab before that was “Days of Ignorance”, please also know the time line of Origin of Religion

Hinduism is more than 197,00,00,000 years old. I shall give you the link. You may wish to rectify.
Please check whether any scholar can name of all the 1,24,000 Prophets.
Sikhism is just 400 year old religion. It came into being after the advent of Islam. Do you deny the existance of Sikhism? If yes, how do you quote that it has 0.36% and if you don’t deny its existance; how does Islam remain the last revealition?
Please clarify.
The origins of Sikhism lie in the teachings of Nanak and his successors. Nanak disapproved of many religious beliefs and practices of his time.
The essence of Sikh teaching is summed up by Nanak in these words:
”Realisation of Truth is higher than all else. Higher still is truthful living”.
Sikhism believes in equality of all humans and rejects caste system.
does not attach any importance to asceticism as a means to attain salvation, but stresses on the need of leading life as a householder.
i agree with you that its an ofshoot of hinduism. but even so its not a pure religion.
can you give them some rating on 1 to 10 scale.
once we needed religion, god etc for some reason (when we were much behind in science and maturity)
now things have changed, so why can’t these concept or religion, identity also change?
why do we have to mix up our culture with religion and personal believes.
One cannot live with out abelief system.
Irreligion is a lack of religion, indifference to religion, or hostility to religion. Depending on the context, may be understood as referring to atheism, agnosticism, deism, skepticism, freethought, or secular humanism.
Irreligious people ALSO have convictions equal in depth to those of religious adherents. For instance, followers of the ”life stance of Humanism” regard themselves as just as deeply believing in their life stance as corresponding to any religious belief.
SO THEY DO BELIEVE IN SOMETHING.
Irreligious theist people although are classified as irreligious and might not follow any religion,
not all are necessarily without belief in the supernatural or in deities; such a person may be a non-religious or non-practicing theist.
In particular, those who associate organized religion with negative qualities, but still hold spiritual beliefs, might describe themselves as irreligious.
if you are saying livivng without belief is possible then its a context-Free Living, or Living Without any Boundaries! which is like living like animals.
a muslim mind set is not supposed to consider anyone inferior whether its their own brother or a christian or a hindu, if somebody does they are doing wrong.
when islam came the teachings were spraed and those who had accepted islam were told to safeguard the interest of those who practiced other religions.
the example is that of the mughals in the subcontinent only
I just can’t agree with you when you claim Islam was the last religion.Firstly there are so many people who follow a religion which came after ours. Some even claim their teachers to have been prophets who came after our Holy Prophet(pbuh).I would agree though if you said we Muslims believe ours is the true message of God brought by the last of His appointed prophets.
Please remember that even The Holy Prophet claimed he was only reminding the people of-and asking them to revert to the original true faith ;that of Abraheem and the prophets before him.
Please read para

plesae know that ALLAH has acknowledged these four books , 124000 Prophets, but the final message as the muslims believe is the Quran in which no alteration is allowed or even expected.
I don’t need to go too far to bring out this contradiction. Just see what Hassan has stated in his comment :” I would agree though if you said we Muslims believe ours is the true message of God brought by the last of His appointed prophets.”
What does it mean ? Give it a close rerading and it will become crystal clear to you that what he is actually trying to say is that the other incarnations were imperfect who descended on earth with limited vision .Other incarnations intended to keep their followers in dark and therefore came out with half-baked perceptions . However ,when Prophet deceided to descend there was a change of heart.God now decided to load him with real message , the last message .God until the arrival of PBUH intended to keep his believers mired in ignorance .
Mr Hassan keep this bogus observation confined to the blockheads(who are increasing with each passing day) of your community .Only likes of Sumera can tolerate this nonsense !!! No wonder why Islam has given rise to so many deluded souls hell-bent on turning this planet into hell of another planet .You are no different than terrorists who are eliminating other people ’In the name of Allah ’ .
Your observation (in the third paragraph) is slightly negative but a valid one.
Fish don’t walk overnight and neither do religions.
Why?
If you believe in evolution then you should know that Modern geologists and geophysicists consider the age of Earth to be around 4.54 billion years (4.54×109 years).
What about man?
The oldest fossils of Homo sapiens are those of the Neanderthals (130,000 -
30,000 yrs ago), found in the Neander Valley of Germany.
Compared to modern men they are thought to be very different from us today both physically and intellectually. Understandable.
It’s a process intended by GOD. ALLAH. Islamic in the real sense aren’t that Qur’an
text book like scripture to be opened up read on and executed.
It’s a process of inner understanding and exploration that unfortunately the less privileged
And less educated Muslims have overlooked in their desire to crush the US or Israel or any other country pounding power on Muslims. They can’t be blamed entirely also.
They don’t have time, resources, capacity and peace of mind to do what they were sent for, instead they are fighting for their mere existence!!
Any way,
The same way God has founded this universe on a process of stage wise revelation
And
Evolution, as Muslims already believe and as science is struggling to find out.
how do you propose that God should have sent his final revelation in the first go? It just isnt logical!!
So if man in prehistoric times was not more sophisticated to understand the messages sent to him it wasn’t entirely his fault because he was not meant to.
He had to be part of the lesson from history for the generations to come ahead.
How do you propose that people in the age of PBUH were the qualified people to attain the final revelation of GOD ? That means the future generation will be lesser evolved than ones during the time of PBUH ?What prevents them from having more revelations from God in future?
It’s better you rise above the mumbo-jumbo of religious intricacies inherent in Islam .Instead of trying to label the Quranic percepts as one of the most supreme revelations , it’s better you learn to get close to truth via art of realization .
Like to correct you that Vedic religion predates the time of Abraham . ” In fact, the oldest of the four main religions is Hinduism. Hinduism has the oldest recorded roots in Dravidianism. Dravidianism was estimated to have been practised around 6000 to 3000BCE and as such predates Sumerian, Egyptian and Babylonian cultures.” (http://www.archaeologynews.org/link.asp?ID=20318&Title=OLDEST%20religion%20in%20the%20world%20is...
In Bhagavad Gita it’s stated that ” To deliver the pious and to annihilate the miscreants , as well as to reestablish the principles of religion ,I myself appear , millennium after millennium .”-( Chap.4;verse 8 ).There is no reason to believe that that ”Quranic percepts are the final and real message of God ”.Such an impression is indicative of your ignorance .On the contrary , the earlier minds were better tuned to receive religious percepts and be at the top rung of the Evolution ladder .No wonder why many ancient sciences and traditions are now beyond the reach of modern man .
may be you should have read ”Kalki Autar by Prof. P. Parkash”

and
Prophet Muhammed in Hindu Scriptures
http://www.geocities.com/indiafas/Hindu/islam_in_hindu_scriptures.htm
First things first . It’s time to apply your brain instead of aping the convictions of the likes of Dr. Zakir Naik .
It’s also time for you to realize that concept of Avatara differs from Prophethood .
Hindus believe that the Kalki Avatar is a god [Vishnu] who has been reincarnated 10 times and not a mere messenger. Muhammad claimed to be a messenger and would have been grossly offended by the suggestion that he was the incarnation of a Pagan god. There is a huge difference between the concept of Prophet hood in Islam and the concept of the Avatar in Hinduism and one cannot impose an Islamic meaning on a Hindu title.

Muhammad (pbuh) prophesised in the Rigveda
A similar prophecy is also found in Rigveda Book I, Hymn 53 verse 9:
The Sanskrit word used is Sushrama, which means praiseworthy or well praised which in Arabic means Muhammad (pbuh).
The above specified Hymn and verse translates as : “ With all-outstripping chariot-wheel, O Indra, thou far-famed, hast overthrown the twice ten Kings of men,
With sixty thousand nine-and-ninety followers, who came in arms to fight with friendless Susravas.”
It speaks about Indra, a praise to Indra and not Muhammad!! Dr.Naik Susrava is singular. Susravas = plural. Group of praiseworthy people. So it does not point to Muhammad!
5. The last premise would be logic. Dr.Naik and Dr.Haq seem to commit several logical fallacies. They tend to contradict each other. They say they don’t believe in HINDU scriptures once. You can find how Zakir Naik criticizes Hindu way of worship in a section called “Conveying Islam To A Hindu”. But still he uses Hindu scriptures’ authority to prove Muhammad’s prophethood and Islam’s validity! Either this proves
*Hindu religion is truly divine.
* Allah did not give enough proofs in Qur’an to sustain his claims.
* All muslims must convert to Hinduism.
* Muslim scholars are bluffing to convert Hindus just like they do to Christian.
Dr.Zakir Naik and Dr.Haq actually commit these logical fallacies : Post hoc ergo propter hoc, Red herring, Petitio principii, Non Sequitur ,Straw man and Tu quoque. Simply no hindus will convert because of such bad marketing skills!! Truth is powerful than any other attractive marketing techniques.
Another claim of Muhammad being Kalki Avatar is also doing rounds. Due to space and time constraint, let me tell you, AVATAR = GOD INCARNATE. Muhammad was a normal arab who did nothing! Kalki Avatar will have 8 superhuman qualities. Muhammad had none. For a more detailed explanation, of why Muhammad cannot be Kalki Avatar can be found here.
A Point To Ponder Upon
The Vedas are supposed to be most supreme text of Hindus along with the Gita. There are 4 Vedas.
The number of verses in the Rig Veda total 10800
The Number of verses in Atharva Veda total 5987
The Number of verses in Yajur Veda total 2000
The number of verses in Sama Veda total 1875
Therefore, length of Vedas = 10800 + 5987 + 2000 + 1875 = 20662
Length of Qur’an = 6346
Ratio = Length of Vedas / Length of Qur’an = 3.255
The Qur’an is thrice as small as Vedas. When muslim scholars take a lots of time to learn Arabic, memorise Qur’an,read hadiths, do you believe they can learn Sanskrit, or even if not, read such big Vedas, interpret them, and present it? Some people who get money do this, for them, they just vomit whatever they get on hand without giving it a thinking. Imagine, Upanishads, Puranas, Bhagavad gita, etc. when put together will take a lifetime to read and understand them.
I strongly feel, Dr.Ali Sina is of much higher caliber than any of these meek so-called scholars (for dollars??). Ali doesn’t provide stupid data like these people. Hope Hindus now have a clear idea of what this hoax of Muhammad in Hindu scriptures are all about. They are nothing but words on water.

If still not satisfied then read the article : Muhammad is not predicted in Hindu scriptures by S. Prasadh on this site :

Conclusion
The amount of manipulation and misdirection we see with these men is astonishing. The Islamic propagators are either grossly misled or are apparently relying on the fact that not enough of their readers will know Sanskrit or bother to look up references. They happily mistranslate and use symbolism without any shred of proof. One understands their eagerness to prove that Islam is the culmination of every religion. However one has to wonder, if the faith of the writers like these is so insecure that they have to search in other religions for legitimacy. Also one has to wonder what this says of other Muslim scholars who have read the Vedas before. None of them had ever read any of the meanings that Dr.Naik or Dr.Haq finds; obviously they were either more foolish or less learned than our Dr.Naik/Dr.Haq. However, the climax comes in this assertion: ”The Vedas contain many prophecies about Prophet Muhammad. Some European and Hindu translators of the Vedas have removed the name referring to the Prophet, while others have tried to explain away the mantras (verses) on his life events, Ka’bah, Makkah, Medinah, Arabia, and other events using the terminology of the Hindus, such as purification rituals, and lands and rivers in India”. In other words, explain what scholars might like, our good Islamic Sanskrit scholar knows that they would be lies. Dr.Naik/Dr.Haq operates under the assumption that anyone who tries to refute them is by the very definition a liar. This assertion is a wonderful way of not having to face the truth. (Of course I personally believe that Haq’s book/ Zakir Naik’s Da’wah material is not meant for either the Hindu or the serious scholar; it is targeted at the Muslims to strengthen their faith). Hope I have made it clear to many people, especially Hindus about the lies of Dr.Zakir Naik and Dr.Abdul Haq, of how they write articles, books,da’wah material, etc. just to fool the ignorant Hindus, because most Hindus are not fanatically religious and conaequently they don’t read much of their books. Infact when a Hindu reads this article, he/she will have increased faith in HINDUISM than converting to Islam. Thanks to bad marketing techniques of Dr.Zakir Naik blemished with lies.
Quite true the final complete message was Islam, but it was never a new religion. It was the religion of Abraham and all the other prophets.

Below are two articles I wrote about radical Islamism. Please read the comments sections. You will find who really are the ones not ”appreciating religious differences.”

Firstly let me clarify the basics, Islam is Islam and that means peace There is no such thing in the world as radical Islam, or moderate Islam.
The Islamic fundamental principles are
• The shahadah, which is the basic creed or tenet of Islam: ”’ašhadu ’al-lā ilāha illā-llāhu wa ’ašhadu ’anna muħammadan rasūlu-llāh”, or ”I testify that there is none worthy of worship except God and I testify that Muhammad is the Messenger of God.” This testament is a foundation for all other beliefs and practices in Islam (although technically the Shi’a do not consider the shahadah to be a separate pillar, just a belief). Muslims must repeat the shahadah in prayer, and non-Muslims wishing to convert to Islam are required to recite the creed.[46]
• Salah, or ritual prayer, which must be performed five times a day. (However, the Shi’a are permitted to run together the noon with the afternoon prayers, and the evening with the night prayers). Each salah is done facing towards the Kaaba in Mecca. Salah is intended to focus the mind on God, and is seen as a personal communication with him that expresses gratitude and worship. Salah is compulsory but flexibility in the specifics is allowed depending on circumstances. In many Muslim countries, reminders called Adhan (call to prayer) are broadcast publicly from local mosques at the appropriate times. The prayers are recited in the Arabic language, and consist of verses from the Qur’an.[47]
• Zakat, or alms-giving. This is the practice of giving based on accumulated wealth, and is obligatory for all Muslims who can afford it. A fixed portion is spent to help the poor or needy, and also to assist the spread of Islam. The zakat is considered a religious obligation (as opposed to voluntary charity) that the well-off owe to the needy because their wealth is seen as a ”trust from God’s bounty”. The Qur’an and the hadith also suggest a Muslim give even more as an act of voluntary alms-giving (sadaqah). Many Shi’ites are expected to pay an additional amount in the form of a khums tax, which they consider to be a separate ritual practice.[48]
• Sawm, or fasting during the month of Ramadan. Muslims must not eat or drink (among other things) from dawn to dusk during this month, and must be mindful of other sins. The fast is to encourage a feeling of nearness to God, and during it Muslims should express their gratitude for and dependence on him, atone for their past sins, and think of the needy. Sawm is not obligatory for several groups for whom it would constitute an undue burden. For others, flexibility is allowed depending on circumstances, but missed fasts usually must be made up quickly.[49]
• The Hajj, which is the pilgrimage during the Islamic month of Dhu al-Hijjah in the city of Mecca. Every able-bodied Muslim who can afford it must make the pilgrimage to Mecca at least once in his or her lifetime. When the pilgrim is about ten kilometers from Mecca, he must dress in Ihram clothing, which consists of two white seamless sheets. Rituals of the Hajj include walking seven times around the Kaaba, touching the Black Stone, running seven times between Mount Safa and Mount Marwah, and symbolically stoning the Devil in Mina. The pilgrim, or the hajji, is honored in his or her community, although Islamic teachers say that the Hajj should be an expression of devotion to God instead of a means to gain social standing.[50]
This in totality the total submission to God. Period. This is the religious part.
Now come to the socio-economic history of the Muslim world. It’s a BACK BONE of any society as you know.
Unfortunately most of the Muslim world is consisted of third world countries. Where illiteracy, unemployment, the lack of basic facilities has turned the frustration into corruption and religious expression with out judgment. This is AGAINST THE TEACHINGS OF THE RELIGION.
Now, in the last 200 years, Majority of the Muslims, let me say 98 percent in the world considers west a severe enemy, who have imposed colonization, globalization, democracy, and open attempts to occupy their natural territories and resources. After the 2nd world war, the situation worsened as the west resolved its own differences but turned its attention to where the natural resources in the world were located.
It started with the end of formal colonization and beginning of an indirect approach in an increasingly aware world.
It started with illegal formation of a Israeli community in Palestine. The Holocaust, the killing of approximately 6 million European Jews by the Nazis, had a major impact on the situation in Palestine. During World War II Britain, which had been granted a mandate over Palestine by the United Nations, forbade entry into Palestine for European Jews escaping Nazi persecution.
On November 29, 1947, the United Nations General Assembly voted 33 to 13, with 10 abstentions, in favor of a Partition Plan that created the State of Israel. The British reliquished their mandate over Palestine in 1948. War broke out between the Arabs and Jews soon after. The 1948 Arab-Israeli War, established the state of Israel as an independent state, with the rest of the British Mandate of Palestine split into areas controlled by Egypt and Transjordan
The west saw potential in illegally relocating the globally nomadic community of the Jews in Palestine where they became so organized that they displaced local communities, and began to form a government on them, denying them right to practice their own religion.
The Jews have a history which I don’t want to dwell on much as it is available in all the original scripture of bible and other holy books.
Which resulted in the war between them and the Palestine. The rightful jihad. At that time west created a hype that Muslims were militants and they were dangerous.
The term radical Islam, is a hype! It was created after the cold war disseminated by the US-Israel lobby in Washington. The truth is during the Afghan occupation by the soviets, the US weakened the USSR by supporting mujahideens indirectly, through financial and arms sustenance. The truth is Osama bin laden was one of the mujahideen leaders, and alqaida was formed by the US to fight the jihad against the USSR, do read http://www.chomsky.info/ or watch www.michaelmoore.com/ to get an American perspective on it.
After the war the same friends became enemies when they realized the US supported the mujahideens only to drive out the Russians so that they could control the Middle East. The world’s largest natural resource reserve. The truth is Osama bin laden is a hype created by the US do check http://www.tenc.net/articles/jared/madein.htm

Now come to the socio-economic history of the Muslim world. It’s a BACK BONE of any society as you know.
The truth is Osama bin laden was one of the mujahideen leaders, and alqaida was formed by the US to fight the jihad against the USSR, read http://www.chomsky.info/ or watch www.michaelmoore.com/ to get an American perspective on it.
After the war the same friends became enemies when they realized the US supported the mujahideens only to drive out the Russians so that they could control the Middle East. The world’s largest natural resource reserve. The truth is Osama bin laden is a hype created by the US http://www.tenc.net/articles/jared/madein.htm
Prayers keep a person attached to almighty. Fasting does the same. Zakat may increase beggers and alm takers unless zakat money is coming to the treasury of the government. Hajj has its benefits on the person as well as on the economy of the then Mecca.
The problem occurs when religion moves out of these basics and interfers in the life of the non believers. Your jehadi may be a terrorist for me.
Sikhism believes in equality of all humans and rejects caste system.
does not attach any importance to asceticism as a means to attain salvation, but stresses on the need of leading life as a householder.
i agree with you that its an ofshoot of hinduism. but even so its not a pure religion.
once we needed religion, god etc for some reason (when we were much behind in science and maturity)
now things have changed, so why can’t these concept or religion, identity also change?
why do we have to mix up our culture with religion and personal believes.
”Before Islam there were many prophets sent on earth in Muslim history the number is 124000 of them were sent as guidance on earth and 4 holy books are mentioned in Qur’an which testify as the guidance sent to the Allah’s people on earth.
These four messengers and their holy books as acknowledged by Quran.
They are the Suhuf-i-Ibrahim (commonly the Scrolls of Abraham), the (Tawrat (Torah),the Zabur (commonly the Psalms), the Injil (commonly the Gospel),
and then came the Qur’an.
Hence, it was the FINAL ENLIGHTMENT, the word of ONE GOD.
also mentioned rae the timeline of religions,
c. 2000 BC: Time of Abraham, the patriarch of Israel.
c. 1200 BC: Time of Moses, the Hebrew leader of the Exodus.
c. 1100 - 500 BC: Hindus compile their holy texts, the Vedas.
c. 563 - 483 BC: Time of Buddha, founder of Buddhism.
c. 551 - 479 BC: Time of Confucius, founder of Confucianism.
c. 200 BC: The Hindu book, Bhagavad Gita, is written.
c. 2 to 4 BC - 32 AD: Time of Jesus Christ, the Messiah and founder of Christianity.
c. 32 AD: The Crucifixion and Resurrection of Jesus Christ.
c. 40 - 90 AD: The New Testament is written by the followers of Jesus Christ.
c. 570 - 632 AD: Time of Muhammad, who records the Qur’an as the basis of Islam.
plesae know that ALLAH has acknowledged these four books , 124000 Prophets, but the final message as the muslims believe is the Quran in which no alteration is allowed or even expected.
P. Parkash”
http://www.iol.ie/~afifi/BICNews/Books/books16.htm
and
Prophet Muhammed in Hindu Scriptures
http://www.geocities.com/indiafas/Hindu/islam_in_hindu_scriptures.htm

Length of Qur’an = 6346
Ratio = Length of Vedas / Length of Qur’an = 3.255
The Qur’an is thrice as small as Vedas.

Sikhism believes in equality of all humans and rejects caste system.
does not attach any importance to asceticism as a means to attain salvation, but stresses on the need of leading life as a householder.
i agree with you that its an ofshoot of hinduism. but even so its not a pure religion.
once we needed religion, god etc for some reason (when we were much behind in science and maturity)
now things have changed, so why can’t these concept or religion, identity also change?
why do we have to mix up our culture with religion and personal believes.
P. Parkash”
http://www.iol.ie/~afifi/BICNews/Books/books16.htm
and
Prophet Muhammed in Hindu Scriptures
http://www.geocities.com/indiafas/Hindu/islam_in_hindu_scriptures.htm

Length of Qur’an = 6346
Ratio = Length of Vedas / Length of Qur’an = 3.255
The Qur’an is thrice as small as Vedas.
******************************************
If still not satisfied then read the article : Muhammad is not predicted in Hindu scriptures by S. Prasadh on this site :
http://www.faithfreedom.org/Articles/Prasadh51229.htm

You will find who really are the ones not ”appreciating religious differences.”
http://gracieb.instablogs.com/entry/islam-ruin-from-within/
http://gracieb.instablogs.com/entry/radical-islamism-islam-gone-bad/
